Kiké Hernández Posts Cryptic Video About Dodgers on Social Media

Free agent Kiké Hernández posted a cryptic video of his highlights last season with the Los Angeles Dodgers on social media Sunday. Kendrick Lamar’s song “tv off” can be heard in the background.

Hernández captioned the video: “Walking through the open door.”

Hernández seemingly hinted toward a reunion with the Dodgers, breaking the news himself.

At Fan Fest, general manager Brandon Gomes said the Dodgers would talk with Hernández soon, indicating a reunion was a possibility.

“Obviously we’d never close the door to Kiké,” Gomes said. “I think a lot of it is just making sure he and his family feel like it’s the best position for him. But we’ll have those conversations.”

The Dodgers fan favorite had expressed his desire to return to L.A. early in the offseason, but with the incoming talent, it was unclear whether the defending champions would room for Hernández on the roster.

“I would love to be back,” Hernández said. “I truly believe that — we won the World Series a couple days ago, but I truly believe that this team is gonna be even better next year with all the pitching reinforcements.”

Outfielder Teoscar Hernández had said he hoped the October hero would return.

“I’m praying to God that we can bring Kiké (Hernández) back,” Teoscar Hernández said on Dodgers Territory. “I miss Kiké and I want him to be a Dodger.”
