Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas is suiting up for one last ride, this time representing Venezuela.
Rojas will play his final game as a Dodger, then hang up his MLB cleats and move into a new role within the organization.
However, before he leaves the baseball field for good, Rojas will suit up for a Venezuela team.
On November 14th and 15th, Rojas will play in the “Choque de Gigantes” game, Spanish for “Clash of Giants,” in Miami at LoanDepot Park.

Rojas will play for Venezuelan Professional Baseball League club Tiburones de La Guaira at shortstop. Tiburones de La Guaira will face Navegantes del Magallanes.
“One last time on the field. One last time representing Venezuela,” Rojas said in an Instagram post announcing his participation.
According to Christina De Nicola of MLB.com, Rojas will be getting a special pregame celebration on Sunday, Nov. 15.
The baseball showcase has a special meaning this year, as Venezuela continues to recover from the aftermath of the major earthquake that rocked the entire country.
A portion of the ticket sales, the 50/50 Raffles held during each game, and revenue from commemorative souvenir cups sold during the series will all go to relief efforts in Venezuela. Additionally, multiple donation collection points will be available.
Miguel Rojas’ impact on the Dodgers
Rojas has grown from a solid veteran into a fan-favorite locker room voice for Los Angeles. His play on the field, in terms of raw statistics, hasn’t been among the best in the Dodgers’ current run.
However, when it comes to leadership and making clutch plays in key spots, Rojas has delivered some of the biggest moments.
Additionally, Rojas has helped develop young players, especially defensively.
“Miggy Ro has been awesome,” Friedman said. “Just his impact, not just on the field and the role he played.
“To kind of bookend his career and have him have a chance to come back and be such a big part of those two championship teams, and for him to go out the way he did, leaving everything on the field.
“Can’t say enough about the guy, the competitor, the teammate. We’re hopeful that he’s impacting us in the future as well.”
