Predicting Landing Spots for Dodgers’ 8 Free Agents

Eight Los Angeles Dodgers are free agents now, and the decisions being made in the coming days and months could reshape the team beyond the retirement of Miguel Rojas.

Dodgers Nation’s Noel Sanchez made his predictions for all nine players, and fans are likely to have some big feelings.

Blake Treinen

The relief pitcher is 38 years old now, and after more injury struggles limited him to only29 innings during the 2026 season, Blake Treinen might decide to retire.

“A great career and good chance he hangs it up,” Noel said.

Alex Vesia – Re-signs with LA

Relief pitcher Alex Vesia might find himself a Dodger yet again.

“He’s projected to land a two-year, $14 million deal and there’s motivation on both sides to keep this relationship going,” Noel said. “Plenty of teams will want a lefty reliever like him but I think LA wins.”

Eric Lauer

Eric Lauer, who pitched as both a reliever and a starter this season, will test the market as a starter “after proving he can eat innings with the Dodgers,” Noel said.

“I see him signing a two-year contract with the Mariners,” Noel said.

Kiké Hernández

The fan favorite utility player Kiké Hernández may be coming back for one final ride.

Noel expects him to take a one-year deal and announce it will be his last in MLB.

“He’ll wait the entire offseason and accept any role to stay with LA,” Noel said.

Tarik Skubal

Unlike Hernández, who may make fans wait to get some certainty, news could be coming soon about ace pitcher Tarik Skubal.

“Tarik Skubal will re-sign with the Dodgers for $350 million, giving him the biggest contract for a pitcher in MLB and I think they get it done by December 1 before the lockout,” Noel said.

Brusdar Graterol

This one is a little more up in the air.

Graterol has been sidelined by injuries, and if he returns to the Dodgers, it will likely be on a minor league deal.

Alternatively, he could sign with the Angels, Noel said.

Evan Phillips

Evan Phillips will likely be back in LA, unlike a fellow pitcher.

Kris Bubic

Noel expects Kris Bubic to depart LA, predicting that he’ll instead find a home with the St. Louis Cardinals.
