Los Angeles Dodgers corner outfielder Teoscar Hernandez, who now mans the starting left field spot, has been on the injured list for a while now due to a hamstring injury, but according to manager Dave Roberts, he will be returning very soon.
Hernandez’s injury occurred on May 29th, when he fielded a ground ball at first base and grabbed his left hamstring.
He exited the game immediately and has been on the injured list since. Now, he is set to return in a little more than a month, on Monday, June 29th.
The Dodgers will start a three-game road series against the Athletics in Sacramento, the final stop on this long road trip.

His official injury diagnosis was a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, the least severe of the possible strains. The injury came at a rough point, when Kike Hernandez got hurt in the same series, marking the loss of two Dodgers sparkplugs.
Recently, Teoscar has started a minor league rehabilitation assignment with Oklahoma City Triple-A, which will be a short stop before coming back.
How has Teoscar Hernandez done on his rehab assignment?

Hernandez has hit a home run in each of his three games down in OKC, continuing his hitting surge that started back during his time with the Dodgers. In a 11 at-bats, he is hitting .273.
The Dodgers purposefully took their time with Hernandez during this injury, including a rehab assignment to get him properly warmed up, but with him looking so sharp, they will feel quite confident.
With his activation, LA will likely send down Ryan Ward, who came for Hernandez, marking the end of a solid tenure in the majors.
In his short time in the big leagues, he is hitting .204 with 0.2 bWAR.
Additionally, Tommy Edman will figure into the platoon with Hernandez in left field, along with Alex Call if needed.
