Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani is dedicating the proceeds of Saturday’s 50/50 Raffle to Dodgers Dreamfields 69 and 70 at Farnsworth Park in Altadena, the team’s foundation announced.
The 50/50 Raffle allowed Dodgers fans to enter for a good cause: half of the money raised goes to one winner, and the other half goes to charity through the Dodgers Foundation.
Tickets are sold through stationary kiosks at Dodger Stadium and from dedicated raffle sellers.
Just this summer, the foundation has raised at least $34,000 per game, with thousands of dollars going to the foundation.

Ohtani and the Dodgers are in a blockbuster series against the Pittsburgh Pirates for a small homestand. The Pirates have young arms and are flirting with a possible playoff berth, while the Dodgers are fighting to get their mojo back.
What is Dodgers Dreamfields?
The Dodgers Dreamfields project creates spaces for people to experience softball and baseball, hosts community events, and helps create public spaces for families.
“Refurbishing baseball and softball fields revitalizes existing green spaces, promotes physical activity and increases opportunities for play in communities experiencing social injustices,” the foundation says.
“Dodgers Dreamfields are unique outdoor learning spaces that host education and health activities, meeting families in their neighborhoods with basic necessities to make a lasting impact in Los Angeles.”
The Dreamfields #69 and #70 were built this year. The Dodgers Foundation accepts nominations for anyone who thinks a specific location could benefit from revitalization.
The Dodgers Foundation has spent $21.3 million on the Dreamfields project, with more to come from Saturday’s game and other fundraisers.
