Labor Day Weekend is finally here, and there’s plenty going on around Southern California, especially if you’re a fan of movies or music.

Selections include the horror hit “Obsession” and romantic comedy “500 Days of Summer” on Friday, Sept. 4; the William Shakespeare adaptation romantic comedy “10 Things I Hate About You” and romantic drama “The Notebook” on Saturday, Sept. 5; comedy “School of Rock” and Christopher Nolan-helmed science fiction thriller “Interstellar” on Sunday, Sept. 6, and musical romantic comedy “La La Land” on Monday, Sept. 7.

Brandon Flowers at The Ford

The longtime frontman of the Killers has a solo album yet that leans more country than the band’s hit like “Mr. Brightside” and “All These Things That I’ve Done.”
The project, “Thrasher,” is described on the Ford’s website as “his most personal work yet! The album blends Americana, family, and self-discovery.”
Pitchfork gave it a solid 7.0 out of 10, noting that “with Waylon Jennings’ drawl and a profound sincerity, the Killers frontman sells the blustery, Nashville-via-Utah sound of his gaudy but affecting new country album.”
BTS at SoFi Stadium
