4th Annual Lunar Block Party – North Hollywood (Sat, Jan 24)

Head to this free community festival celebrating Lunar New Year on Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood on Saturday!

This street festival brings together Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese cultural traditions with arts & crafts booths, performances, interactive activities and a lively artisan market curated by MAUM. You’ll find food trucks and Asian-owned vendors, traditional music and dance and kid-friendly creative stations.

Dine L.A. Restaurant Week (Jan 23–Feb 6)

Los Angeles is known to have some of the best restaurants in the world. Hundreds of participating LA restaurants are offering special lunch and dinner menus at reduced prices. It’s a great way to explore diverse cuisines from casual neighborhood spots to upscale dining destinations across the city.

Whether you’re into Italian, Korean, vegan, or fine steakhouse dining, you can try curated multi-course meals for a fixed price. Reservations are recommended as restaurants fill up fast. 

Family & Kid-Friendly Activities

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Brooklyn Nets (Sat, Jan 24)

A true Los Angeles vs. New York showdown is happening at the Intuit Dome on Saturday. The Clippers will be going head-to-head with the Brooklyn Nets at 6:00 pm PST. 


Boxing Amateur Show LA (Sat, Jan 24)


Boxing UA is hosting a a sanctioned amateur boxing show in Los Angeles this weekend at 1437 S Oak St, Los Angeles, 90015 on Saturday at 12:00 pm PST. This event will showcase some of the rising stars in the LA boxing community, so don’t miss out on this exciting show!

The Getty Drawing Days – Getty Center (Sun, Jan 25, 11am–3pm)

The Getty Center is hosting a free drop-in art event where visitors of all ages can practice drawing from live, costumed models with guidance from guest artists. Materials are provided, and the event takes place in a relaxed setting on the Getty Center’s grounds. It’s designed for both beginners and experienced artists, making it fun for families and creative folks who want a hands-on art experience!

Pasadena Comic Con (Sun, Jan 25)

Pasadena Comic Con is a one-day pop culture convention held at the Pasadena Convention Center that brings together fans of comics, sci-fi, animation, gaming, toys and more. It’s a vibrant, family-friendly event where people of all ages gather to celebrate the things they love.

From superheroes and anime characters to classic sci-fi icons and cartoon favorites, there are so many things to explore at this event. There will be panels and Q&As with voice actors, celebrity and creator guest appearances, a cosplay contest and multiple vendors to purchase merchandise from.

Los Angeles Rams NFC Championship Watch Party (Sun, Jan 25)

The Rams will be on the road for the NFC Championship but fans can still support LA at the watch party at SoFi Stadium on Sunday. Tickets start at $10 for non-season ticket holders, and seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking is also included with the ticket. 

Festivals, Shows & Nights Out

Drive-By Theatre Festival at Zombie Joe’s Underground (Sat–Mon, Jan 24-26 | ~8:30 PM nightly)

Local actors, writers and directors are creating and performing original, short plays written in just 50 hours at this live theatre festival this weekend. The indie theatre event is part creativity challenge and part performance showcase.

You can expect a rotating lineup of brand-new works each night that range from thought-provoking drama to experimental and edgy pieces. The fast creation process gives the festival an energetic and unpredictable vibe that will make each night a fresh and engaging experience for theatre fans. 

Dance Camera West Film Festival (Thu–Sun, Jan 22-25 | Multiple venues)

This dance film festival offers “four days of boundary-pushing dance films, conversations, workshops and community gatherings across Los Angeles, with events at Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz, Colburn’s Zipper Hall and the Philosophical Research Society”.

There will be more than 40 short and feature films focusing on dance, choreography and performance art. Screenings are hosted across several venues including West LA and Downtown, offering world premieres, innovative cinematic techniques, and artist Q&As that highlight the intersections of film and dance.

Community Flow Yoga at the Wende Museum

The Wende Museum is hosting a new weekly class led by certified instructor Kate O’Neal at the Glorya Kaufman Community Center. The community flow yoga class features a balanced flow of gentle warm-ups, strength-building vinyasa and a restorative cool-down.

This class is designed for all experience levels and offers a chance to reset, recharge, and move mindfully in a one-of-a-kind cultural space. As with all Wende Museum public programs, the class is free to attend and begins at 10:30 a.m.

Griffith Observatory

The Griffith Observatory offers some of the best views of the city along with an educational museum about astronomy and a free public telescope for visitors to look through. Admission to the Griffith Observatory is free.

Venice Art Walls

Head to Venice Beach to visit the Venice Art Walls this weekend. This is a free activity for visitors to admire the artwork of local graffiti artists and muralists around LA.

If you are interested in contributing your own artwork to the display, you will need to get a permit and paint during designated weekend hours on Saturday and Sunday.
