It’s the first full weekend of summer, and there’s plenty going on in Southern California.
There’s more World Cup action at SoFi Stadium, a beloved record store is hosting a party in Hollywood and there’s a big food festival in downtown Los Angeles.

World Cup Knockout Round

South Africa and Canada are facing off in the World Cup’s round of 32 this weekend, and history will be made.
Neither country has ever advanced to the knockout stage before, and one of them will leave with their first-ever knockout win as well.
Amoeba Music Hollywood Block Party
When: Saturday, June 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Head out to Hollywood for the first-ever Hollywood Block Party hosted by Amoeba Music.
That stretch of the Walk of Fame will be home to Amoeba’s sidewalk sale, as well as participation by neighbors like the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, Funko! and Bristol Farms.
“We are also holding a raffle for awesome prizes at 1pm and 3pm! You can purchase a raffle ticket at multiple booths in the block party for $2 each and all proceeds benefit Food on Foot, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting unhoused and low-income neighbors in Los Angeles,” Amoeba wrote on its website.
Raffle prizes include a two-night stay at the W Hollywood, tickets to the Pantages, a Bristol Farms gift card, a vinyl LP goodie bag from Capitol Music and more.
This event is free.
Complex Family Style Festival
When: Saturday, June 27, from noon to 8 p.m.
Where: Los Angeles State Historic Park, 1245 N. Spring St., Los Angeles, CA 90012
