Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow has looked great all spring, and everyone’s beginning to take notice.
Manager Dave Roberts said prior to Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels that Glasnow has been “By far the best we’ve seen.”
Glasnow followed up Roberts’ comments with a great performance, throwing five innings and striking out 11 batters, allowing just a single run. He kicked off the game with a bang, striking out the side in 15 pitches. The big right-hander expressed how good he’s felt throughout the spring following the game.
“My pitching, for sure,” Glasnow said, replying to Roberts’ comments. “I think sequencing and being able to land off speed stuff and execute heaters in and not just trying to blow guys up and throw super hard down the middle. It feels the best for sure. I think consistently wise, as a pitcher, that’s definitely right.”
Glasnow has made four starts this spring, posting a 3.45 ERA through 15.2 innings pitched and striking out 26 batters in that time. He’s continually gone further into every one of his starts in 2026, starting with just two innings and working his way up to five.
Roberts has already named Glasnow to the starting rotation for 2026, and he will likely make his first appearance of the 2026 season in the first series of the year against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

What Can the Dodgers Expect Out of Tyler Glasnow This Year?
Glasnow is entering his third season with the Dodgers, and has been incredibly effective during his time with LA. He had a 3.49 ERA through 22 starts in 2024, and a 3.19 ERA through 18 appearances in 2025. Despite his solid numbers, though, Glasnow still has a goal in mind: Staying healthy throughout the season.
“My biggest goal is to just stay healthy, log innings and not be put on the IL for an extended amount of time,” Glasnow said. “I don’t think [spring training] feels any different, just trying to solid everything mechanically and recovery-wise and just trying to stay healthy and log a lot of innings.”
The right-hander has spent time on the sidelines due to injury in both of his seasons with the Dodgers, and will look to avoid the IL as the Dodgers chase a third consecutive World Series.
