Watch Shohei Ohtani Hit Massive Home Run in First At-Bat of Cactus League for Dodgers
Shohei Ohtani is back.
The Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar, who’s coming off offseason shoulder surgery and ramping up to be a pitcher again this spring, went the other way in his first at-bat of Cactus League play, sending a home run over the left field wall.

Coming off a 54 home run, 59 stolen base season, Ohtani appears to be picking up right where he left off.
Ohtani worked the count full against left-handed pitcher Yusei Kikuchi. Then, he deposited the 3-2 pitch over the left field wall, making an immediate statement in his first at-bat of the spring.
Ohtani has thrown multiple bullpens this spring as he returns to being a two-way player. However, Friday was his first Cactus League game, and he reminded everyone why he’s the reigning National League Most Valuable Player award winner.
