The Los Angeles Dodgers’ series finale against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday won’t start on time due to inclement weather.
Originally scheduled for a 10:40 a.m. PT start time, rain—which should eventually clear up, allowing the teams to close the series Sunday—is keeping the tarp on the pitch. David Vassegh of AM 570 shared a picture of the conditions a couple of hours before the scheduled first pitch.
“Due to inclement weather in the area, the start of today’s Tigers-Dodgers game will be delayed. Further updates will be provided when available,” the Tigers said via X.
What is the Dodgers’ Lineup for the Series Finale?
The Dodgers shifted their lineup for the final game of the series, looking to find an offensive spark with some personnel changes. Tommy Edman moved up to No. 2 in the order, and Miguel Rojas and Kiké Hernandez both stepped into the lineup.
Tyler Glasnow will start for the Dodgers, making his second appearance since returning from a lengthy IL stint with a back injury.

How Have the Dodgers Played During this Series?
The Dodgers, as has become common over the past month, struggled for runs over the course of the first two games of the series.
They squeaked a win in the first game of the set, taking a 2-1 victory, but a mediocre offensive performance in the second game saw them lose by the same score. Since the beginning of August, the Dodgers have the 24th best offense in MLB in terms of wRC+. Things could improve soon, though, as catcher Will Smith is set to return from his long-term stint on the injured list ahead of Tuesday’s series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
They’ll look to bounce back and get some momentum going in the series finale with just one month remaining in the regular season and their status as the No. 2 seed in the National League in jeopardy.
