2 Dodgers Prospects Who Can Ignite Stagnant Dodgers Offense

The Los Angeles Dodgers have one of the best farm systems in MLB, and desperately need to infuse some youth into their aging core of position players.

They already brought up Josue De Paula towards the end of 2026, and his performances could sway them to trust the youth more than they have in recent years. The Dodgers have two more prospects to keep an eye on, and they could both feature for the team at some point during 2027—especially given the team’s struggles offensively towards the end of the season.

Which Dodgers Prospects Could Make Their Debut in 2027?

James Tibbs III

Acquired at the 2025 deadline in exchange for Dustin May, James Tibbs III made waves at the beginning of the 2026 season with an electric start in Triple-A. A first-round pick in the 2024 draft, Tibbs moved around a lot in his first full year in professional baseball.

He went from the San Francisco Giants to the Boston Red Sox early in the year as a piece in the Rafael Devers trade, and made his way to the Dodgers after a middling couple of months in Boston’s organization.

He looked good in his 36 games with the Dodgers’ Double-A affiliate last season, and proved he still had plenty of quality this season.

Tibbs hit seven homers in his first eight games of the season, and ripped up pitchers in the Pacific Coast League throughout the rest of the season. In 141 games with the Oklahoma City Comets, Tibbs hit 30 homers and drove in 107 RBIs on his way to a career-best .941 OPS.

A first baseman with the capabilities to play in the corners of the outfield, Tibbs could very well find himself filling in for Teoscar Hernandez or Kyle Tucker on days where the team needs a favorable matchup or some rest.

Mike Sirota

Mike Sirota also came to the Dodgers via trade, joining the team from the Cincinnati Reds before the 2025 season. The Dodgers drafted Sirota out of high school, but he opted to go to college to improve his stock—though an injury knocked him down to the third round.

He began the year in High-A, but quickly made his way up the minor league ladder with an unbelievable on-base streak, which reached 72 games across High-A and Double-A.

Sirota came up to Triple-A for a cup of coffee at the end of the year playing two hames and logging two hits, three walks and a run. He also featured for Oklahoma City in the postseason, logging four hits and five walks in four games while also recording two RBIs.

Sirota has a different skillset to Tibbs, but the Dodgers would use him in a similar fashion if he were to feature in the bigs next season.

With both of those players in their ranks, the Dodgers can bring several layers of offense to the MLB team if their offense undergoes struggles similar to those they had towards the latter end of 2026.
