The Los Angeles Dodgers became the first repeat World Series champions in a quarter century Saturday night in Toronto.

A day later, seven Dodgers players have officially become free agents as the 2025 season came to its conclusion in a thrilling extra-innings Game 7.
Fan favorite Kiké Hernandez is one of the seven LA players to hit the free agent market. Michael Conforto, Andrew Heaney, Clayton Kershaw, Michael Kopech, Miguel Rojas, and Kirby Yates are also Dodgers free agents.
Kershaw revealed he would be retiring after the 2025 season. The future Hall of Famer had quite the farewell tour as he says goodbye to baseball as a three-time World Series champion.
Rojas has expressed his desire to remain with the team, and he cemented his name in franchise lore with arguably the most important home run in Dodgers history. In the top of the ninth of Game 7, Rojas hit a game-tying homer to send the game to extra innings.
Ahead of the Fall Classic, Rojas was asked whether he’d prefer to stay in LA for the 2026 season.
“100 percent, yes. This is my No. 1 priority to sign here with the Dodgers for one more year,” Rojas said to Dodges Nation’s Doug McKain. “I want to do that, and after that, we will reevaluate where my career is going to go.”
Conforto signed a one-year, $17 million deal with the Dodgers last winter, and given his performance in the regular season, it’s unlikely the outfielder will return in 2026.
The Dodgers signed Heaney Sept. 1, which made the veteran postseason eligible. The left-hander made one appearance for LA in the last series of the regular season, allowing three earned runs in two innings of work against the Seattle Mariners.
As for Kopech and Yates, both relievers were poised to play a pivotal role for the Dodgers in 2025 but injuries ultimately sidelined both of them. It remains unclear which free agents the Dodgers will choose to bring back.

Kike and Rojas. And give Pages a raise.
Here are my predictions:
Kiké Hernandez Will re-sign for 1 more year at the same rate as last year…
Michael Conforto, GONZO.., Good luck Michael in your new home, some saying Pittsburgh.
Kirby Yates, Gonzo, will ply his trade somewhere else…
Andrew Heaney, GONZO… no place for him on this team… (See Kirby Yates)
Miguel Rojas, re-signs again at the minimum or Million dollars max.
Michael Kopech, Gonzo…, Will Sign a free agent contract with an American League team. Still fancies being a starter. (Some say the Yankees)
AND
Clayton Kershaw: Gone but not forgotten. May play a roll in the organization down the road…
Resign Kike.Rojas and Kopech.
The Dodgers won the World Series without Michael Kopech. Brusdar Grateral,
Kirby Yates, Brock Stewart, and Tanner Scott.
Imagine if these guys were healthy and pitching their norms.
What about Gavin Stone, Michael Grove, and River Ryan? This team is loaded.
Grove has been DFA’d. He will probably reject his assignment and become a free agent. The word is still out on the progress of either Stone or Ryan. BIth could be on the team or become traded bait. Truth is, there is little room in the rotation for either of them at the moment… Time (and injuries) will tell…
You must keep Kike and Rojas??
I didn’t add those question marks. I added ??
You just assed them again…
Would like to see them keep Kike and Rojas, as they both made pivotal plays and at bats that contributed to securing the WS. That seems to make easy and clear sense. No need to include Conforto, Heaney, or Kershaw in this list. So, it’s really just Yates and Kopech. My preference would be Kopech if it’s only one of them. But no one from the front office is calling me to ask.
I agree with you about Kiki & Rojas definitely
wGrove was DFA’d today per the article in this edition of the Dugout. I think he will refuse his minor league assignment and become a free agent…
Kike and Rojas
Keep K Hernandez, and Rojas, and Kopech, and Muncy. Kershaw is retired. Say goodbye to Heaney and Yates.
Keep: Kiké, Miguel, Kopech
Kick: Conforto, Heaney, Yates, Treinen
Give a front-office job to Kershaw.
I know Treinen’s not on the list, but it’s safe to say that if it wasn’t for him and Yates screwing up a few games, we would have had full home-field advantage in the postseason.
Treinen isn’t going anywhere… When he’s on he is just about unhittable. He was hurt most of last year, Friedman and Roberts are inclined to give him plenty of rope…
Dodgers did what Gene Autry couldn’t , buy a championship. No more farm system just a fat wallet.
Dodgers trade farm system for a fat wallet.
IMO, Rojas will be the only one back.
