Dodgers Add LHP Caleb Ferguson Back to the Bullpen Mix

The Dodgers are hoping that this weekend can go much better than the last few days. With the Mets coming into town, Los Angeles is coming off of a series where they were swept by the Pirates. Not ideal when facing a team as good as New York for 4 games.

But they will have some additional bullpen help this series. The Dodgers announced that they have re-called LHP Caleb Ferguson from Triple-A. Ferg made just one appearance coming off of the injured list before he was sent back down.

But that move was essentially for depth. The Dodgers know they can’t push him too hard coming off of Tommy John surgery, and they needed some fresh arms out in the bullpen.

Ferguson was carving up minor league hitters before getting the call back to the Dodgers. He had not allowed a run in his 4 appearances since being optioned and punched out 8 batters.

In order to make room in the roster, the Dodgers sent Michael Grove back down. He gave up 3 runs against the Pirates last night in his only inning of work.

  1. Great for Fergy!!! Grove didn;t look good. More time/coaching at OKC should help!
