Dodgers Announce Opening Day Starter for Home Opener 2025
The Los Angeles Dodgers named left-hander Blake Snell as the domestic Opening Day starter. The pitching matchup should be a classic as Snell will take the mound for the defending champions and AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal will do so for the Detroit Tigers.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki will start Game 2 and Game 3, respectively, of the series against Detroit, announced manager Dave Roberts.
The Dodgers headlined their successful offseason with the blockbuster signing of Snell, a two-time Cy Young winner. The southpaw signed a five-year, $182 million contract with the Dodgers less than month after the World Series.
President of baseball operations Andrew Friedman expects the 32-year-old to flourish in Los Angeles.
“With a guy that’s enjoyed that much success, usually in major league free agency, you’re buying the back-side of a guy’s career, the accomplishments that they have had,” Friedman said. “With Blake, one thing that’s really exciting for us is, for as much success as he’s had, we feel like there’s more in there and a lot of upside beyond what he’s done to this point, and the impact that can have on us and our quest to win a World Series this year, and as many years as we can see out.”
Snell’s journey to new heights in Hollywood begins soon.

I am a Dodger fan of about 55 years and a Chiropractor in practice for 35 years. Please have Mookie Betts’ upper neck adjusted by a Chiropractor. The upper neck can have a significant effect on the Vagus nerve, which is primary control of our parasympathetic nervous system, the part that initiates and controls digestion, and exits the skull next to the upper cervical spine.
I have had many patients over the years whose digestive issues were helped by working on the upper neck. It is simple and safe. He has seemingly already been screened for a variety of other issues so this is a good place to check next.
