David Roberts, nicknamed “Doc”, is an American professional baseball manager who is currently with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Over a ten-year career, he played outfield for five MLB teams including the Dodgers and Red Sox. His most notable achievement as a player was a key stolen base for Boston in the 2004 ALCS, which culminated in a 2004 World Series championship. In 2010, Roberts joined the San Diego Padres front office and in 2016, he was hired by LA as the Dodgers manager. As a manager, Roberts has led his team to the playoffs every season and in 2020, achieved his first managerial World Series Championship.
