Dodgers Hollywood Biopic Part 2: Ed Sheeran, Jharrel Jerome, and More Fan Casting

Earlier this month, Dodgers Nation’s Robert Butler III broke down who would star in a biopic of this ongoing Dodgers dynasty.

Now, he’s back with more Hollywood stars portraying your favorite Dodgers, including one Dodger who could play himself.

We’ve detailed out a couple of the selections below, but check out the video to get the full list.

Ed Sheeran as Will Klein

Maybe we’re just “Thinking Out Loud” here, but reliever Will Klein and his bushy ginger beard call for a specific look.

Ed Sheeran may be English, but he’s a very notable ginger with some acting experience, including as a soldier in “Game of Thrones.”

He’s also a huge sports fan and a part owner of his favorite soccer team, Ipswich Town.

Granted, Sheeran’s British upbringing probably skews more cricket than baseball.

He may have to take some lessons on proper pitching form, as Klein’s heroic performance in Game 3 of the 2025 World Series will almost certainly be a key part of the film.

Jharrel Jerome as Teoscar Hernandez

RB3 proposed an actor with some hardware for Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez: Jharrel Jerome.

Jerome and Hernandez are both of Dominican descent, and the actor can certainly pull off Hernandez’s beard, but he has the chops to do much more than that.

Jerome won numerous awards, including an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie, for his role as Korey Wise in “When They See Us.”

The actor may have to practice his sunflower seed throwing, but otherwise, this seems like a home run.

Check out RB3’s full list in the video and let us know who we missed!
