Dodgers’ Championship Formula Shows Up Again in NLDS Clincher

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 4-1 on Wednesday, October 7th, claiming Game 4 and winning the NLDS series 4-1.

The Dodgers closed things out in Atlanta, as the pitching staff once again dominated, along with some timely offensive moments.

The bats delivered

Offensively, despite collecting five hits and three walks, the Dodgers scored four runs thanks to two Braves errors, plus a ninth-inning solo shot to extend the lead.

The first run came when Shohei Ohtani drew a walk, stole second, and advanced to third on an errant throw.

Then the Braves dropped a flyout that should have been caught, allowing Ohtani to reach home plate.

In the seventh inning, Andy Pages, with the bases loaded and two outs, faced star righty reliever Robert Suarez.

He worked a full count, and Pages delivered a clutch RBI single.

He allowed just one hit and had five strikeouts, but in the end, the number one mattered most.

Then, the bullpen came in, allowed two hits and no other base runners.

Alex Vesia, Tanner Scott, Edgardo Henriquez, and Edwin Diaz all did a great job and stepped up in big moments.

The bullpen was a big weakness in 2025, forcing the starting rotation to do a lot of heavy lifting, but the 2026 Dodgers have a streaking relief core that can step up when needed.
