The Los Angeles Dodgers got good news about Miguel Rojas’s outlook, as he thinks he should be available.
Rojas left the game in the eighth inning during his fourth at-bat. He had a 1-1 count after fouling off a pitch from Atlanta Braves reliever Brent Suter, a lefty, and grimaced after a swing.
What caused Rojas’ injury
The 37-year-old reached for his lower back, and the trainer came out to visit Rojas before the veteran left the game, with Tommy Edman taking over mid-at-bat.
Edman popped out on the first pitch that he saw, while Rojas continued to favor his lower left back in the dugout.

Eventually, the team announced Rojas left the game with low back pain.
After the game, Rojas told the media he felt tightness in his lower back and it surfaced from a diving stop in the fifth inning. He expects that he will be ready for Game 4 in any capacity needed.
“I’m looking forward to being ready to go tomorrow if they need me and obviously trying to end this one and get some rest and meds and stuff and get back in there,” Rojas said.

What is next for Rojas?
Manager Dave Roberts, however, will be waiting to see how Rojas responds on Wednesday. Also, against a righty in Tyler Mahle, Rojas likely would not start anyway.
“I think it’s how he comes in tomorrow. He probably won’t be in tomorrow against Mahle, but hopefully he feels better tomorrow,” Roberts said.
“I give him credit for concediting that at-bat, so hopefully he got it treated up and feels better heading into tomorrow.”
Rojas is a tough player, and he will likely be avalible tomorrow, but unless there is an ideal lefty pinch-hit opportunity, the infielder will likely not play.
