Dodgers Have 5 Representatives at Upcoming All-Star Game

The Los Angeles Dodgers excelled in the first half of the 2026 season, and an overwhelming amount of All-Stars highlights their dominance so far.

Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Andy Pages and Shohei Ohtani all earned starting spots on the All-Star team via the fan vote, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto earned a spot as one of the 12 pitchers selected to the team. Additionally, Dave Roberts will manage the NL All-Star team.

Freddie Freeman

Freeman’s All-Star appearance this year will mark his 10th, as well as his fifth in as many years with the Dodgers. The first baseman has maintained his status as one of MLB’s best hitters despite his age, and is having his best year since 2023.

Through 87 games this season, Freeman has 15 homers and 49 RBIs, posting a .894 OPS for a 147 OPS+.

Max Muncy

Muncy last made an All-Star Game in 2021, serving as the starting designated hitter for the NL that season. He’ll start once again this season, and is the first Dodger to start at third base in the All-Star Game since Ron Cey in 1977.

He has been one of the Dodgers’ most impactful players this season, and is on track to have the best season of his career in terms of bWAR. His 3.4 mark is just 1.9 shy of his 5.3 in 2019, and he has played nearly 60 fewer games. Muncy has 17 homers this season, driving in 39 runs with an .864 OPS.

Shohei Ohtani

Ohtani earned his spot as the starting designated hitter in the National League after recording the most votes of any player in the league, but he would have certainly commanded a spot on the team regardless. The reigning MVP has put together yet another fantastic season—both at the plate and on the mound—and is leading his team to what seems to be another playoff year.

He has 18 homers this year, as well as 50 RBIs through 81 games. His .927 OPS leads the team, and it goes without saying he’s the favorite to bring home another MVP.

On the mound, Ohtani has been just as important as he is at the plate. He has made 14 starts this year, postinga 1.79 ERA through 85.2 innings pitched and has 95 strikeouts on the year.

Andy Pages

Pages is making his first All-Star appearance, earning a starting spot after placing top 3 among NL outfielders. The center fielder bounced back from a rough postseason this year, hitting 16 homers and driving in an NL-best 63 RBIs so far. He has a .804 OPS this season, and is more than deserving of a spot.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto

Yamamoto isn’t likely to be the starter for the NL in the All-Star Game, but his performances this year are more than worthy of a spot on the roster. He has a 2.49 ERA, the same mark he had through the entire season last year, and has thrown 104.2 innings, which is the most on the team. His 100 strikeouts are also the most of any Dodger.
