After a huge comeback in Thursday night’s series opener, the Los Angeles Dodgers are preparing for the second matchup with the San Diego Padres Friday night.
Despite Roki Sasaki leaving the Boys in Blue in a 6-0 hole, they notched 17 hits for 12 runs, winning with a final score of 12-7.
Given that offensive explosion, it’s no surprise that the lineup is largely intact for Friday.
Who is pitching for the Dodgers?
Two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani is leading off the Dodgers’ batting order and starting the game on the mound.
Ohtani (8-2, 1.58 ERA) is making his 14th start, matching his total from last year just about halfway through the season.
In Ohtani’s last start at the Minnesota Twins on June 24, he and young catcher Dalton Rushing struggled to get on the same page, prompting some very visible disagreements between the two.
Rushing is catching for Ohtani again on Friday, so we’ll see if the pair have improved their working relationship in the past few days.
Who is in the Dodgers’ Lineup?
As mentioned, the lineup is unchanged from Thursday night.

Ohtani is leading off as always, and center fielder Andy Pages and first baseman Freddie Freeman follow him in the order.
Shortstop Mookie Betts is hitting cleanup and third baseman Max Muncy will bat fifth.
Right fielder Kyle Tucker hits sixth, followed by Teoscar Hernandez, the left fielder. Dalton Rushing plays catcher and bats eighth, followed by second baseman Alex Freeland batting ninth.
