The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation hosted their annual Dodgers Dreamteam PlayerFest on Sunday at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers hold this event every year, giving families, coaches and fans the opportunity to takeover Dodger Stadium. Over 5,000 people attend the event every year, seizing their opportunity to walk the field and participate in numerous activities such as receiving health screenings and educational resources, meet their favorite Dodgers, take pictures with some of the Dodgers’ recent hardware and receive giveaway items from sponsors.
List of the Dodgers’ Free Resources at the Event
“Free resources at PlayerFest include hygiene kits from Baby2Baby, education resources from the Los Angeles Library Foundation and C5LA, snacks from Archer Meat Snacks, baseball and softball instruction from Los Angeles Dodgers Training Academy, transportation resources from Los Angeles Metro, produce boxes from Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Science of Baseball STEM in partnership with Science of Sport, fitness stations from UCLA Health Sports Performance powered by Exos, and vision screenings from Vision to Learn,” the Dodgers’ press release reads. “LADF will also be joined by the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Sparks, and Los Angeles Kings with fun activities and giveaways.”
“We love being in the heart of communities across Los Angeles and serving the youth and families who need us most, but we’re equally excited to welcome our Dodgers Dreamteam family back to the home of the back-to-back World Series champion Dodgers,” said Nichol McKenzie-Whiteman, CEO of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation. “We’ll celebrate our community and our partners, who have helped us serve 17,000 youth across 156 locations, and we look forward to growing that impact even further.”

How Long Have the Dodgers Held This Event?
The Dodgers have hosted this event at Dodger Stadium since 2014, first established as a midseason celebration.
Since its launch over a decade ago, the event has taken over a new purpose.
“LADF is committed to scaling the Dodgers Dreamteam program and expanding equitable access to sport across Los Angeles County,” their press release reads. “PlayerFest helps it mobilize partners, raise awareness of community needs, and drive program enrollment, ensuring more young people can access high-quality, community-based baseball and softball programming.”
