Dodgers Shuffle Lineup as Rushing Returns for Finale Against Twins

The Los Angeles Dodgers set their lineup as they look for a sweep over the Minnesota Twins on the road on Wednesday.

The Dodgers’ offense woke up in Tuesday’s game, as they scored 12 runs for the first time since June 9. The victory secured a series win, serving as a good bounce back series for the Dodgers after losing two of three over the weekend against the Baltimore Orioles.

Who is Starting for the Dodgers?

The Dodgers have a great shot to take three of three from the Twins, as Shohei Ohtani will take the mound for LA in the series finale. Ohtani has been one of the Dodgers’ best pitchers this season, and he has the opportunity to further improve his numbers against a Minnesota club who has only scored three runs over the past two games.

Ohtani has made 12 starts on the year, and currently has a 1.47 ERA through 73.2 innings. He also has 78 strikeouts.

Who is in the Dodgers’ Lineup?

Ohtani will fulfill his two-way duties in the series finale, batting first for the Dodgers and serving as the designated hitter. Center fielder Andy Pages remains in the No. 2 spot, and is still followed by first baseman Freddie Freeman and shortstop Mookie Betts.

Third baseman Max Muncy bats fifth for LA, and the rest of the lineup was slightly shifted as Tommy Edman gets a day off.

Alex Call will look to follow up a solid day in his hometown Tuesday as he stands in for Kyle Tucker, who is still out with injury. Left fielder Ryan Ward is up to seventh in the batting order, and catcher Dalton Rushing has returned from the concussion protocol to bat eighth.

Alex Freeland, who’s in for Edman, will bat ninth.
