Dodgers Make Another Roster Move Ahead of Wednesday’s Series Finale vs Nationals
The Los Angeles Dodgers have recalled right-handed pitcher Landon Knack to start Wednesday’s game against the Washington Nationals.
To make room on the active roster, left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski was optioned back to Triple-A.

Knack, 27, was with the Dodgers in Japan before getting sent back to Triple-A. The right-hander pitched two shutout innings in Japan, earning the win in the second game of the season.
In Triple-A, Knack made one start this season, pitching 4.2 innings and allowing two earned runs with five strikeouts.
Knack will now start Wednesday’s series finale against the Nationals, as the Dodgers look to avoid the sweep.
Wrobleski got called up to start Tuesday’s game, and struggled mightily, allowing eight earned runs across five innings of work. Manager Dave Roberts said before the game that Wrobleski could have an opportunity to stick with the big league club as Blake Snell is set to miss multiple starts. However, now he’s heading back to the minors.
Knack will likely now get an opportunity of his own to prove he’s worthy of taking Snell’s spot in the rotation. Snell is expected to miss at least two starts, but could miss more depending on how he recovers from his shoulder inflammation.
Snell isn’t going to throw until Monday at the earliest.
