Miguel Rojas has announced he will continue his career in 2026. It’s unclear whether the Los Angeles Dodgers will offer the veteran infielder a deal this offseason, but Rojas has already etched his name in franchise lore.

The 36-year-old became a World Series hero in Games 6 and 7 when manager Dave Roberts penciled him into the Dodgers starting lineup for the biggest games of the season. Beyond hitting the game-tying home run in the ninth inning of Game 7 against the Toronto Blue Jays, Rojas made a number of key defensive plays to keep the Dodgers in the matchup.
While Rojas is closer to the end of his career than the beginning, a chance for the infielder to three-peat with the Dodgers would be incredible. Another free agent Dodgers fans are hoping the front office brings back is Kiké Hernandez.
Rojas has already begun looking ahead to his future as a retired player, and he hopes to become an MLB manager one day. He told Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain that he believes Hernandez would be an incredible coach one day, and Rojas wants the utility man on his staff.
“I would say Kiké would be my bench coach for sure,” Rojas told McKain. “I think the knowledge and the edge that Kiké has, not many players have in the game of baseball. Paying attention to the little things, knowing the analytics part of the game really well, he knows the old school part of the game. And I feel like he will be a really key piece. I don’t know what his future holds after he retires from baseball, and when that is going to be, but I feel like Kiké will be a guy that I want to have around.”
