Player of the Day – Scott Schebler
Schebler hit incredibly well in June, posting a 1.133 OPS in the month and he hit a home run in the All-Star game. He’s come back down to Earth a bit in July but is still hitting for power, with five extra-base hits in seven games.
He is also posting reverse platoon splits, with a higher OPS versus lefties than righties. Schebler still needs to improve his walk and strikeout rates, but there’s no doubt that he is handling himself well against advanced pitching.
