Dodgers Nation Week In Review: July 6 — July 12
The Los Angeles Dodgers spent the last week before the All-Star Game playing mediocre baseball and as a result, went 3-3. The team closed out a series against the Colorado Rockies with a win on Sunday, then were swept in the two-game series with the Detroit Tigers.
To finish the week, the San Diego Padres came to Dodger Stadium where the teams split the first two games. The Dodgers won again Saturday night in walk-off fashion to set them up for a series win Sunday.
Pitching woes highlight the the Dodgers’ on-field problems from the past week. Hyun-Jin Ryu and Dan Haren had tough outings against the Tigers and Padres, respectively. To add to the troubles, Josh Beckett was placed on the DL with hip issues.
