Dodgers News: Freddie Freeman Exits WBC Game With Injury
On Tuesday, Dodgers superstar first baseman Freddie Freeman exited Team Canada’s World Baseball Classic game with an apparent injury. He was seen running a little gingerly to first base, and was then removed from the game altogether. The broadcast called it a “slight hamstring issue.”
This is literally the last thing anybody wants to see, but hopefully Freeman is okay, and the team is just taking him out for precautionary reasons. Here’s the video of the play where he appeared to get hurt:
Obviously it’s hard to tell what happened, but it’s always tough to see what’s happening with a hamstring issue. Hopefully it’s nothing serious, and it’s something that Freeman can very quickly work back from.
Opening Day for the Dodgers is in a little over two weeks, and the last thing the team needs is Freeman not being ready to go.
We’ll continue to update you when we learn more about the injury, but for now, we know Freeman was forced to exit due to a hamstring issue. Please be okay, Freddie!
