Dodgers Notes: 2 Pitchers Injured, LA Set Up for Blockbuster Trade, Opening Day Starter Revealed

There was some unfortunate news for Los Angeles Dodgers relievers today as two of the three leaders in saves for the ball club last season look likely to start the year on the injured list. Manager Dave Roberts announced that they seem to be “a little behind schedule.”

In other roster news, there may be too much talent on the current squad, if that’s possible. This could potentially trigger a trade to clear room for all the new signings on the team, but unfortunately at the expense of a longtime Dodgers All-Star.

Happier Dodgers news includes finally knowing who will throw out the first pitch for L.A. as Roberts announced the expected Opening Day starter ahead of the season opener in Tokyo, Japan.

And finally, the division-rival San Diego Padres finally made a splash, adding a right-handed pitcher on a very backloaded four-year, $55 million deal.
