Dodgers Notes: Gavin Lux Trade, Tanner Scott Update, Kiké Hernandez Return Incoming?
The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their busy offseason on Monday, sending infielder Gavin Lux to the Cincinnati Reds for a minor league outfield prospect and a pick.
Lux, the former first-round pick of the Dodgers in 2016, officially ends his tenure in Los Angeles as a two-time World Series champion. He’ll now get an opportunity to play a big role for an up-and-coming team in the Reds.
As for the Dodgers, though, the move of Lux clears space in the team’s infield for the recently-signed Hyeseong Kim. It also makes room for the team to potentially bring back Kiké Hernández in free agency.
Finally, as the Dodgers continue to seek upgrades in the bullpen, Tanner Scott’s preferred contract in free agency has been revealed.
