Dodgers Embrace World Cup Fever With Soccer Jersey Giveaway

The Los Angeles Dodgers are joining in the World Cup 2026 festivities with a giveaway on Tuesday.

Fans who come to Dodger Stadium will get a special Dodgers soccer jersey, which could be perfect to wear to the upcoming matches at SoFi Stadium.

Don’t be too late to the game, though, as only the first 40,000 fans will get one.

What does the Dodgers soccer jersey look like?

The jersey is a classic soccer jersey, though it’s full of nice touches for Dodgers fans.

In true soccer style, the Bank of America sponsorship is front and center, but above that, a shield with the LA logo and nine stars — one for each World Series title — sit on a Dodger Blue jersey that’s diagonally striped in a pattern reminiscent of the outfield.

On the right sleeve is the flag of Los Angeles and on the back is the number 26 inlaid with LA logos and the words “Dodgers FC” near the collar.

Dodgers vs. Rays game preview

The Dodgers (46-27) and Rays (41-28) face off again Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. PT after the Boys in Blue took the first game of the series in a 4-3 win Monday night.

It was only Miguel Rojas’ pinch-hit homer in the seventh inning that gave the Dodgers a win, as the game had been a 3-3 tie since the second inning.

It’s likely Tuesday will be another competitive matchup, as ESPN insider Jeff Passan has called this series a “must-watch” for June.

“Rays at Dodgers, June 15 to 17. With the NL looking like the clearly better league this season, the AL’s best team testing its wares against the two-time defending World Series champions makes for a delicious little middle-of-the-summer affair,” Passan wrote.

“…Tampa Bay might not finish the year with the best record in the league. They might not finish June with the best record in the AL East. But this will be a nice test that shows them they can hang with the Dodgers — or that they’ll need more should a rematch come in October.”

Justin Wrobleski (7-2, 2.95 ERA) is taking the mound for the Dodgers, while Drew Rasmussen (6-2, 2.71 ERA) is pitching for the Rays.
