Dodgers Target Kyle Tucker Visited Blue Jays Facility

The Toronto Blue Jays have already had a busy offseason, and they don’t seem ready to stop quite yet.

After signing starting pitchers Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce in the same week, the Jays have shifted their sights to one of free agency’s biggest names: Kyle Tucker. FanSided’s Robert Murray reported Tucker toured the Blue Jays’ facility in Dunedin, Fla.

Tucker has been extensively linked with the Dodgers this offseason, as LA is one of the few teams who could afford the massive contract he is projected to land.

The four-time All-Star has put together a solid stretch of seasons since 2021, hitting 20 or more home runs in all of his seasons in that stretch. He recorded a top-5 finish in MVP voting in 2023.

The 28-year-old is one of the best hitters in MLB, and managed solid numbers in 2025 despite playing through injury for a large chunk of the regular season. He played 136 games for the Chicago Cubs in 2025, batting .266 with 22 home runs and 73 RBIs. Even while playing through the fracture in his hand, Tucker made the All-Star game and won his second Silver Slugger in 2025.

Tucker would fit nicely in the Dodgers’ lineup, as they’re short an outfielder following Michael Conforto’s free agency departure.

The Blue Jays already have one of the best hitting outfields in the league, posting a 109 wRC+ during 2025 — good for sixth-best in MLB. Adding a superstar like Tucker to the fold will further strengthen a team which has already shown they want to challenge the Dodgers for the World Series again in 2026.

The Dodgers are making moves of their own, though, bringing back World Series hero Miguel Rojas on a one-year deal on Wednesday. They’ll look to make some more signings in the offseason to keep up with the Blue Jays as they look to three-peat next season.
