Dodgers World Series: Las Vegas Odds Tip Back in Favor of LA
The Dodgers have been placed on the top rung of the Caesars Sports Book for the highest odds to win the World Series this season, according to Jeff Sherman of Super Book USA.

Astros 11/4
Yankees 3/1
Braves 9/1
Twins 12/1
Cardinals 16/1
Nationals 20/1
Cubs 30/1
A’s 30/1
Brewers 40/1
Rays 40/1
Indians 50/1
Mets 100/1
Phillies 300/1
Diamondbacks 1,000/1
Red Sox 20,000/1— Jeff Sherman (@golfodds) September 16, 2019
When equating all the odds to being out of one, the Dodgers are seen at 2.5/1 and the Astros are at 2.75/1. This is interesting. Amongst the next closest teams, the New York Yankees received 3/1 odds and the Braves check in at 9/1.
Every team has its flaws, but this top billing is in large part due to the Dodgers having arguably the clearest path to the World Series of any team in baseball. With the Yankees and Astros so tight in terms on talent and the Dodgers-Braves tier of the National League being far apart, it makes sense. However, this does not equate to Vegas believing the Dodgers are the best team in the sport.
For most of the season, Vegas odds favored the Houston Astros and for good reason. The Dodgers, Yankees, and Astros have been in the same elite tier of teams for almost the entirety of the season and belong as the three on top for the oddsmakers.
As October nears, it is a great thing to see that the Dodgers are not only demonstrating faith in themselves, but that Vegas is seeing it, too.
What does it matter what Vegas thinks it means nothing
For me , let’s just see if Dodgers can get past the NLDS, and that is certainly no guarantee at all.
Here’s my prediction.
Dodgers get to the World Series and through more over-managing, and platooning, the Astros win again.
I hope I’m so wrong……
This is the dodgers world series the
Y will gõ against altuve and the rest of houston onceagain. They will
Win the world series.
I’m surprised the Dodgers weren’t heavier favorites in this betting format. The Yankees and Astros have to get by each other to even BE in the World Series and their ALCS will likely be absolutely brutal to each of their pitching staffs. If/when the Dodgers get to the World Series this year, they will definitely be underdogs at THAT point unless by some miracle they are facing the Twins or A’s.
Did see how much I get on my return. I’m confused…
