Fat Joe Responds to Dodgers for World Series Beef, Takes Apparent Shot at Shohei Ohtani
The Los Angeles Dodgers took down the New York Yankees in five games in the 2024 World Series, and a big storyline from the series was the pregame concerts.
The Dodgers had Ice Cube perform on the Dodger Stadium mound ahead of Game 2, a 4-2 Dodgers win. Then, when the series traveled back to New York, the Yankees called on Fat Joe to perform on the Yankee Stadium mound before Game 3. The Dodgers also won that game, 4-2.
Fat Joe’s performance didn’t exactly resonate with the fans as much as Ice Cube’s, and it became a huge talking point, both during and after the World Series.
At the Dodgers’ World Series parade — where Ice Cube, again, performed — Kiké Hernández took the mic and had some fun calling out Fat Joe’s performance.
“This guy used to be fat,” Hernández said. “He’s not fat anymore. His name is Joe. We didn’t need to play, because after that performance, we had already won.”
This week, on the “7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony” podcast, Fat Joe addressed the World Series beef with the Dodgers.
“I don’t care what they said,” Fat Joe said as he laughed about it. “I’m entertainment, I don’t play the game. If we’d have won I’d have been the savior of the Yankees. What do you want me to do?”
He added: “It’s a dream come true, I grew up five blocks away. It was one of the biggest honors of my life to go perform at the World Series for the Yankees. I don’t give a f—.”
While Fat Joe didn’t care about the Dodgers’ comments, he did find it a little odd that they were calling him out after the World Series win.
“These guys won, and they cursing me out every chance they get a microphone,” he said. “It’s the craziest s—.”
While the World Series is now a month in the past, Fat Joe also discussed a more current baseball topic in Juan Soto signing with the New York Mets. His take on Soto appeared to take a shot at Shohei Ohtani.
“There’s a reason why Soto got a little bit more than the Japanese guy,” Fat Joe said. “He’s the real deal. Every single time. Now this is a team sport, what is it, nine people? You need a team to win. I’m not delusional, you know what I’m saying. But Soto on the Mets, with that type of momentum they had last year, it’s hard.”

Mets trade Soto for Otani, and send the Dogers 500 million minimum.
Lol what a bozo. You wouldn’t have been a savior of anything. Cursing you out every chance they get? No one cares about you, don’t think you’re special. And to top it off, you say some racist shit? Complete and utter dipshit.
Absolutely correct you are, Joe Who?
ghetto dweller never did math.. 750 over 15 yrs vs 700 over 10… fat joe you can use your fingers and toes to count..
Only people who can’t math think Soto got more money than Ohtani.
Wtf is this dumb fat fuck yapping about? Good lord his opinions are even worse than his shit performance ?????
yes you are dlusional if you think soto cando what shohei did last season, thats a once in in a lifetime feat
dont think will ever see it done again fo a long while. also arent you a yankke fan?or a met? personally i, wouldnt be either one
Joe who?
amen… those who cant figure it out .. CANT because they ran out of fingers and toes…
There’s a reason why Ohtani has won 3 MVP’s and Soto none. It’s obvious that a second rate rapper does not know his baseball. I can’t think of one Dodger fan who wanted to have Soto on the team, and can’t imagine any knowledgeable baseball fan taking Soto over Ohtani for their team.
I know Fat Joe, you feel bad about people saying your performance was not up lifting and it did not help that you guys lost. But to say Juan is the real deal over the Japanese guy, who just had one of the Greatest seasons EVER, outperforming Him in every category including the First 50/50 season in Baseball History. Oh yeah, his 3rd MVP in 7 seasons. Plus, you can’t count, 750 over 15 yrs equal 50 mil per year, 700 over 10 yrs equal 70 mil per year. That’s a 20 million difference.
Dude’s racist shit is unacceptable and anything else he says it’s completely irrelevant. The Dodgers won, (in 5) and the Yankees lost AND Ice Cube put on a better pregame presentation. Them’s be ‘da facts.
Typical racist b.s. from a third rate M.C. trying to remind us that baseball is a team sport then throwing shade at Ohtani by reducing him to an ethnic reference, singling out a single player. Bandit said it right – Joe who? Instead of an East coast GOAT M.C. they chose a NY rat.
