Former GM Predicts 4 Dodgers to Make All-Star Team

The Athletic‘s Jim Bowden predicted four Los Angeles Dodgers players to make the NL All-Star team come the Midsummer Classic.

The players Bowden believes will make the All-Star Game are Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Andy Pages and Max Muncy. Of the four, Yamamoto is the only one Bowden doesn’t have as a starter.

All four players are more than deserving of their spots if they were to make the All-Star Game, and will hope to keep performing how they have been so far as the All-Star Break approaches.

How Have the Dodgers’ Prospective All-Star Performed This Year?

Shohei Ohtani

Ohtani’s inclusion is the All-Star Game is a no-brainer, as he consistently does things nobody on this planet has seen on a baseball diamond before. Ohtani has a sub-1.00 ERA through 10 starts this season—the only starting pitcher to do so—as well as an OPS well into the .900s.

As the most popular baseball player in the world, Ohtani’s status as a starter in the All-Star Game is nearly guaranteed through the fan vote.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto

Yamamoto has struggled through a couple of his starts so far this season, but he’s more than deserving of a spot on the team as well—though he won’t be the starter. He has a 2.68 ERA through 77.1 innings pitched to go with 73 strikeouts, and while that’s incredibly impressive in its own right, his competition in the NL is stronger than it has been throughout his entire career.

Andy Pages

Pages just missed the 2025 All-Star Game after a solid start to the 2025 season, and is doing everything in his power to ensure he makes it this season.

He has a .852 OPS through 65 games, hitting 14 homers and 53 RBIs in the process. Pages is currently tied for the team lead in home runs and leads all of MLB in runs batted in.

Max Muncy

Muncy hasn’t made an All-Star team since 2021, but if there was ever a time to do it again, it would be now. Third base is the weakest position in the National League at the moment, especially with Manny Machado’s woes down south, and Muncy has capitalized on that opportunity.

He has an identical OPS to Pages, .852, and has also hit 14 homers on the season. He has driven in fewer RBIs, bringing home just 22 Dodgers, but has been more than impressive enough to warrant his spot as a starter on the All-Star team.

Who is the biggest snub from Bowden’s list?
