Freddie Freeman Out Again for Dodgers on Tuesday vs Braves Due to Ankle Injury
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman is out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Atlanta Braves.
Freeman, who suffered a “mishap” slipping in the shower this week, didn’t play in Monday’s game and will now miss Tuesday’s game, too.
Freeman said he hopes to play in Wednesday’s series finale against the Braves, but thinks the team could keep him out of the lineup until Friday’s game as they get set to travel East to take on the Philadelphia Phillies.
In addition to Freeman being sidelined, third baseman Max Muncy is getting the night off against the left-handed Chris Sale. The Dodgers are going with a righty-heavy lineup, with Shohei Ohtani being the only left-hander facing Sale.
Chris Taylor is getting his first start of the season, batting ninth and playing left field. Thus, Michael Conforto is getting the night off, at least while Sale is on the mound.
