San Francisco Giants All-Star starter Logan Webb picked the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Dodger Stadium as his favorite away ballpark to pitch in.
Webb, an eight-year MLB veteran, has spent his entire career with the Giants, making a fair few appearances at Dodger Stadium throughout his career. The right-hander noted the fantastic atmosphere at Chavez Ravine, likely fueled by the rivalry between the two clubs.
“This is probably not a fan favorite answer, but I love playing at Dodger Stadium,” Webb said, per NBC Sports Bay Area’s Nick Avila. “It’s a great energy, obviously it’s a great team. It’s a lot of fun, like, they got the huge speakers in center field. So, it’s just a good atmosphere to play in.
“…We go there [and] they don’t like us. You hear a lot of little smack talk, so it’s fun.”
Webb’s results at Dodger Stadium may be another reason for his favorability towards the stadium, as his 10 starts in Los Angeles have been fairly successful. He has 10 appearances on the road against the Dodgers, posting a 3.40 ERA with 45 strikeouts through 55.2 innings pitched.
On the year, Webb has a 3.66 ERA through 21 starts, striking out 102 batters through 128 innings pitched.

How Have the Dodgers Performed Against the Giants This Season?
The Dodgers have played two of their four series against the Giants this season, with their last matchup coming in a four-game series in May. The Dodgers have lost four of their seven games against their divisional opponent this season, dropping two at home and on the road.
Webb is still yet to pitch against the Dodgers this season, but will have the opportunity later in the year.
LA plays both of their final two series against the Giants in the final 10 games of the season, hosting them from Sept. 18-20 and going on the road from Sept. 25-27 to end the regular season.
The Dodgers could have the division wrapped up by that point, as they currently lead the NL West by 8.5 games—though they lost some ground during their recent seven-game losing streak. They’ll look to get back into the swing of things and win their first series of the month against the Arizona Diamondbacks Sunday.
