Juan Soto Not in Yankees’ Lineup for Series Opener Against Dodgers
Yankees superstar Juan Soto, who left the team’s game on Thursday night with an injury, is not in New York’s lineup on Friday for their series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Here’s the lineup the Yankees are sending out:
While Soto isn’t in the lineup on Friday to face the Dodgers, it sounds like he was able to avoid a serious injury.

The New York Post’s Jon Heyman said initial reports have it as inflammation, which is a huge relief for Soto, the Yankees, and their fans.
While Soto seems to have avoided a serious injury, he still isn’t playing on Friday night against Yoshinobu Yamamoto and the Dodgers. It remains to be seen if he’ll be able to get into a game at all this series.
Soto is very familiar playing against the Dodgers from his time with the San Diego Padres. In 44 career games against L.A., Soto is hitting .229 with seven home runs and 20 runs batted in.
