Major League Baseball has released the special-edition uniforms teams will be wearing for America’s 250th anniversary next month, and demand is already high for the stars-and-stripes-themed gear.
The MLB Shop posted the jerseys and caps for sale on Monday morning, with the LA logo and jersey numbers inlaid with stars and stripes — except, of course, for the Toronto Blue Jays.

In addition, the caps feature a cream background, mostly with navy blue bills, while the jerseys have player names written in red, not the traditional blue.
There’s also the USA 250 logo on each jersey and hat.
“Celebrate America with official MLB Stars & Stripes gear featuring patriotic themed jerseys, camo caps, t-shirts, and much more to put your red, white and blue on display,” MLB wrote on its website. “This star-studded gear is perfect for celebrating the 4th of July, whether you’re heading to the game or having a cookout with friends. Whatever your plans, honor your country and show off your love for your team with this great authentic MLB patriotic gear, including MLB 4th of July hats, shirts and more from MLBShop.com. And remember, this collection makes a great gift for the baseball fan in your life.”
How much does the USA 250 gear cost?
Hats run between $38 and $56, with jerseys costing $200 apiece.
You’ll probably need to move quickly, though.
After just a few hours, some higher-demand items like the men’s Shohei Ohtani jersey were already sold out.
Women’s jerseys for Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto remained available, but for men, the options were Kyle Tucker, Edwin Diaz, Mookie Betts and Kike Hernández.
And Betts’ jersey was listed as being “almost gone.”
When will players wear the USA 250 gear?
Baseball teams will honor America’s 250th birthday twice next month: July 4 and the All-Star festivities.

The All-Star celebration will be in Philadelphia — a cradle of the American revolution — about a week after July 4, from July 10 to 14.
