Shohei Ohtani’s MRI Results Officially Revealed Ahead of Dodgers’ World Series Game 3
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts provided another big update on Shohei Ohtani hours before World Series Game 3 against the New York Yankees.
Roberts said Ohtani’s MRI results confirmed partial dislocation but showed no structural damage.
“It just revealed it as a subluxation,” Roberts said. “That’s all it was. So we are very fortunate.”

Roberts added that Ohtani did “probably 80 percent” of his typical workout Sunday night, and reaffirmed that his workload would be about pain tolerance.
Roberts also said there was never a question in Ohtani’s mind that he was going to play.
“He was very adamant that he was going to play. I watched him take swings last night in the cage, looked really good, strong. Ball was coming off the bat.
“I think there was more uncertainty in all of our minds, but in his mind from day one, from Saturday evening, he was going to play.”
Earlier on Monday, Dodgers infielder Max Muncy told reporters that Ohtani sent a text to the team group chat informing them he was going to OK. Roberts was asked if he was aware of that information at the time.
“I wasn’t, and it would have been helpful if I saw that thread,” Roberts said. “I would have slept better Saturday night.”
Ohtani is in the lineup and batting leadoff for the Dodgers on Monday night.
