The Los Angeles Dodgers’ season came to a sudden end this week, but if you’re looking to fill the baseball-sized hole in your life, you’re in luck.
Dodgers Nation has rounded up some of the best events happening in Southern California this weekend.
Have a look below and remember, there’s always next year.
Day of the Dog and Block Party
When: Sunday, Oct. 18, noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Main Street between Ocean Park and Strand Avenue, Santa Monica
Head out to Santa Monica on Sunday for an afternoon of music, food and drinks with your furry friend.
North America’s largest pet festival will be on Main Street, featuring friendly competitions between dogs — including corgi races — and dog-and-human experiences like dog yoga.

Pooches can also enjoy a 100-foot-long swimming pool, a surf machine and real snow for them to play in.
“It’s all free and benefits the Just Love Animals Society, a nonprofit supporting community and animal welfare programs,” organizers said.
Admission is free.
Alongside the Day of the Dog celebration is a block party hosted by the Main Street Business Improvement Association.
Those events include musical acts like Alligator Beach and Red Hot Tribute, as well as a Vodka for Dog People Beer Garden.
Admission to that beer garden costs $10, but it includes a Tito’s cocktail ticket. Additionally, $8 of that admission ticket goes to the Santa Monica Animal Shelter Foundation.
Tickets can be purchased here.
Miley Cyrus at the Hollywood Bowl
When: Friday and Sunday, Oct. 16 and 18, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood, CA, 90068

The child star turned hitmaker is on tour in support of her album “Bass Persuades,” and the “Flowers” songstress is playing a pair of shows at the famed Hollywood Bowl on Friday and Sunday night.
The shows are her first major concerts since 2022, according to SeatGeek, and they’re also her first performances at the Bowl.
The opening act is Model/Actriz.
Tickets for the shows begin at about $100, with Friday night’s show seeming to be more affordable than Sunday night.
For information or to buy tickets, visit the Hollywood Bowl’s website.
