WATCH: Alex Wood’s Scoreless Streak Continues Against Cubs
Alex Wood has stifled the opposition recently. Friday was more of the same.
Wood allowed two hits in five shutout innings against the defending champion Chicago Cubs. It extended his scoreless innings streak to 25.1.
Wood was spelled by Pedro Baez to start the sixth, and while it’s ideal he goes deeper into games, he left on a high note.

Wood is making a case as Clayton Kershaw’s partner atop the rotation. He’s now 6-0 with a 1.89 ERA.
