WATCH: Home Runs Carry Dodgers to Sweep of Cubs
That’s a statement series if you’ve ever seen one.
With the 2016 NLCS still fresh on their minds, the Dodgers pulverized the Cubs, out-scoring them 18-4 in a three-game sweep. If the teams meet again, it’ll be in October.
The final game was an oddity. Clayton Kershaw didn’t have his best stuff, but the offense did. Cody Bellinger, Kike Hernandez, Austin Barnes and Yasiel Puig homered in route to a 9-4 win.
