Best Dodgers Highlights of 2025: No. 4 Shohei Ohtani’s Historic NLCS Game 4 Performance

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani outdid himself in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Milwaukee Brewers, producing one of the most impressive single-game performances of all time.

Ohtani made his second start of the postseason in Game 4, throwing six shutout innings against Milwaukee while notching 10 strikeouts. He threw 100 pitches in the outing, his highest total since returning from Tommy John surgery in June.

On top of his electric performance on the mound, Ohtani went 3-for-3 with three solo home runs in the game to power the Dodgers over the Brewers and into the World Series for the second year in a row.

After striking out three batters in a row to end the top of the first inning, Ohtani kicked off the bottom of the first with a full-count solo shot into the right field bleachers to give the Dodgers an early 1-0 advantage.

He continued to dominate on the mound, allowing just one hit through four innings pitched. He stepped up with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning and launched a ball to right field once again, though this time he cleared the bleachers and left the stadium with a 469-foot blast.

Ohtani made quick work of the bottom of the Brewers’ lineup in the top of the fifth inning, and left the mound after another one-two-three sixth inning.

Ohtani’s monstrous performance in Game 4 went down as potentially the greatest single-game postseason performance of all time, and secured the series sweep for the Dodgers. For his efforts throughout the NLCS, Ohtani won the NLCS MVP — his first.
