Dodgers: Diego Cartaya Seen Working Out at Dodger Stadium on Monday

The Dodgers have very high hopes for their No. 1 overall prospect Diego Cartaya. The 21-year-old isn’t expected to be ready for a few years, but he’s already been working out with the team at Dodger Stadium this offseason. The Dodgers showed off their top prospect on Twitter on Monday, alongside a few veterans, Gavin Lux and newcomer Jason Heyward.

Cartaya is working out in LA, as he continues to improve as an all-around player. Last year between Single-A and High-A, Cartaya slashed .254/.389/.503 with 22 home runs, 72 RBIs and an impressive OPS of .892. This offseason, he’s working to get even stronger.

Cartaya is getting some good work with his big league teammates in LA, as he continues to rise the ranks of the top prospects in the MLB. We likely aren’t going to see him this season, but there is a chance we see him as early as 2024 if he continues to progress through the minor leagues.

Cartaya also stopped by the Dodgers Nation studio to talk about his upcoming 2023 season and what he’s working on this offseason, so stay tuned at the Dodgers Nation Youtube and here at DodgersNation.com for all that content coming soon.
