Dodgers’ Dino Ebel Believes Shohei Ohtani Performing at Highest Level With LA

Since joining the Dodgers, superstar Shohei Ohtani has been everything the organization could have asked for and more. Ohtani has been performing well on the field and his marketability off of it has been incredible.

Not only are the Dodgers promoting him but other franchises have used Ohtani to sell tickets as well. He is the biggest star in the game today and it has reflected in the extra attention given to Los Angeles.

Ohtani has impressed everyone around the organization, including the coaching staff. Dodgers third base coach Dino Ebel spoke with Doug McKain of DodgersNation and discussed the level Ohtani has been playing at.

“He’s improved tremendously. And I think this year, I think we all know he’s not going to pitch, so he’s really doing a good job of just concentrating in batter’s box, doing the base running. And that’s the difference I see when he came into us with the Angels’ pitcher-slash-hitter, and he had a routine that we were all getting accustomed to. And now six years down the road, he’s performing here at the highest level, got up to the greatest start in his career, and I think now he’s starting to throw.”

On the year, Ohtani has hit .366 with 13 home runs and 35 runs batted in. He has been consistent for this team, even through their recent tough stretch.

With Ohtani on the team, the Dodgers have a different feel to them than in previous seasons. If he can continue to perform at a high level throughout the year, Los Angeles may be able to bring home another World Series trophy.
