How were the Dodgers’ non-roster invitees acquired?

Ward, Ramos, Avans, Rushing and Gauthier were developed through the Dodgers’ organization after being drafted or signed as amateurs. Rushing, the team’s top selection in the 2022 draft, is the number-1 prospect in the organization according to MLB Pipeline.

Sweeney was acquired in December from the New York Yankees as part of the Victor Gonzalez trade. Ryan was acquired from the San Diego Padres in March 2022 for Matt Beaty.

Crismatt, Gonsalves, Gowdy, Hahn, Hernandez, Hudson, McFarland, Peterson, Salazar, Okey, Swaggerty, Arauz, and Padlo were signed as minor league free agents. Hudson actually re-signed after spending 2022 and 2023 on the Dodgers’ major league roster, mostly rehabbing a torn ACL he suffered in June 2022.

Peterson, a minor league journeyman and a recent World Baseball Classic participant, was the only previously unreported signing:

When does Spring Training begin?

The Dodgers’ pitchers and catchers will hold their first workout at Camelback Ranch-Glendale on Feb. 9. Position players will hold their first workout on Feb. 14. The Dodgers’ first Cactus League game is Feb. 23 against the San Diego Padres.
