Dodgers Home Opener Tickets Dramatically Decreasing in Price
According to Bill Shaikin of The LA Times, the ticket prices for the Dodgers home opener against the Cardinals have seen decreases in ticket prices. With the season starting soon, people may be trying to sell tickets to the game if they can no longer attend.
The $67 was as of yesterday. Stubhub has prices at $75 this morning, but that doesn’t include the fees attached to each ticket.
The home opener against St. Louis is one of the more highly anticipated games in recent years for the Dodgers, given the big offseason that the team put together. Fans want to see Shohei Ohtani step into the batters’ box for the first time at Dodger Stadium in a meaningful game.
The excitement around his arrival to the Dodgers has been unlike anything we’ve seen in the sport of baseball and his celebrity around the globe is immeasurable. Ohtani is the biggest show in the game today, so people all over will be tuning in to see him play.
In addition, the Dodgers also boast plenty of other stars on the team. Fans have been waiting months to see Los Angeles play after a devastating effort against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the postseason.
While the Dodgers already started their regular season, this is the domestic home opener. It’s always a fun, festive atmosphere for everyone and it means that the long haul of baseball season has finally arrived.
