Dodgers Injury News: Andrew Heaney Takes Another Step on Friday
The Dodgers got some good news on Friday afternoon in Philadephia. Injured left-hander Andrew Heaney tossed another bullpen session, throwing 30 pitches off the mound. Dave Roberts said that Heaney looked good during the session and threw his entire pitch mix sitting in the 90-92 mph range with his fastball.
Heaney has been on the injured list with shoulder inflammation since April 20th. While he made only two starts before the injury, both of those starts were high quality with the veteran going 1-0 allowing no earned runs over 10.1 innings.
Roberts said that Heaney is expected to throw one more bullpen before graduating to facing live hitters. He’ll have to head out on a minor league rehabilitation outing before rejoining the rotation. With that, he remains a few weeks away from being a factor for the Dodgers.

We will weather the storm with our pitching staff. Kershaw shouldn’t be too long either. And Dustin May is on the horizon. We just need to mix in Pepiot, Price, and Knack here and there.
