Dodgers Legend Kirk Gibson talks 88 with Dan Patrick Show
Today marks the 30th anniversary of arguably the greatest sports moment in Los Angeles History – the Kirk Gibson Home run in the 1988 World Series. Gibson joined The Dan Patrick Show this morning to talk about that memorable moment.
There were also some special moments in the interview, talking specifically about Hershiser giving advice on how not to embarrass himself and of course, how he knew what pitch was coming from Dennis Eckersley, one of the best relievers of his time.
Support the Kirk Gibson FoundationGibby also saved as much as he can from that moment from the helmet to the jersey to the shirt he wore underneath. Everything except the ball, so if you have the ball, let us know.
Another fun story was Gibson and Patrick talking football, especially Gibby’s playing days at Michigan State.
